Background

Launched in 2018, the Risk Console was developed as Aleph Risk Intelligence's flagship product to provide clients with a centralized platform for monitoring and managing risk data. Built to handle diverse datasets, the product integrates information from geospatial sources, public records, and client data to offer actionable insights. My involvement spanned full-stack development, leveraging my expertise in geospatial technologies and web development.

Challenges

1. Data Aggregation: Handling and normalizing large, disparate datasets while maintaining performance.
2. Geospatial Complexity: Visualizing risk data on an interactive map with accurate georeferencing, clustering, and dynamic filtering.

Solutions

Elasticsearch Integration

I implemented Elasticsearch to power full-text search capabilities and geospatial queries, enabling rapid and precise data retrieval for users.

Geospatial Visualization

Utilizing Mapbox GL JS and Uber’s Deck.gl, I developed dynamic and interactive map components, allowing users to visualize geospatial risk data with customizable layers and filters.

Microservice Architecture

Migrating to a microservice architecture improved scalability and maintainability. I contributed to designing and developing services that handled specific domains such as risk analysis and user management.

GraphQL APIs

I built robust GraphQL APIs to enable efficient data querying and improve the front-end’s responsiveness by fetching only the required data.
