Aliado

Introduction

Aliado is a state-of-the-art logistics management platform designed to revolutionize supply chain operations through real-time visibility, intelligent tools, and efficient communication. The platform is currently under development and includes two mobile applications—Aliado Seguridad and Aliado—tailored to meet the diverse needs of logistics operations, from fleet data management to role-based monitoring and tracking.

Background

Development of Aliado began in mid-2023 as part of Aleph Risk Intelligence's initiative to provide advanced solutions for logistics optimization. Although not yet released, Aliado is already being used in pilot programs with major companies to refine its features and ensure it delivers real value.

My primary role involved leading the development of two mobile applications using React Native, building on the successful Parvada rebuild. This initiative leveraged my expertise in mobile development and team leadership, enabling faster delivery and improved collaboration.

Challenges

1. Complex Feature Integration: Incorporating advanced scanning (QR and OCR) and form functionalities in Aliado Seguridad.

2. Role-Based UI: Designing distinct workflows and interfaces for admins, operators, and salespersons in the Aliado app.

3. Real-Time Updates and Communication: Implementing live chat features connected to an AI copilot while maintaining seamless performance.

4. Collaboration with Specialists: Coordinating efforts between React developers and a native developer for platform-specific features.

5. Efficiency and Scalability: Ensuring the apps were robust, scalable, and maintainable with a small development team.

Solutions

React Native Implementation

By using React Native, I developed two mobile applications with a shared codebase, ensuring efficient development and maintenance. This choice also enabled effective collaboration with a React developer, accelerating feature delivery.

Collaborative Development

I work closely with a native developer to integrate low-level features and platform-specific enhancements, ensuring optimal app performance.

Advanced Scanning Tools

For Aliado Seguridad, I implemented QR and OCR scanning technologies, enabling field users to capture fleet operation data efficiently.

Role-Specific Interfaces

The Aliado app was designed with distinct role-based UIs, providing tailored experiences for admins, operators, and salespersons. This includes tools for admins to monitor logistics, a chat feature for operators linked to an AI copilot, and real-time tracking for salespersons to enhance delivery operations.

Client-Centric Pilot Programs

Working closely with large companies during pilot testing, I ensured the applications were fine-tuned to meet real-world needs. Their feedback has been instrumental in refining the app's features and aligning them with business objectives.

Impact

Although Aliado has not yet been officially launched, its development has already:

Conclusion

Aliado represents a bold step toward modernizing logistics management. While still in development, its pilot programs demonstrate its potential to significantly enhance supply chain operations.
